MJ Doughty began her dance training at the In Motion School of Dance where she trained for 11 years, and began teaching part time for 2 years.

While at IMSD MJ performed with the In Motion Dance Company for 6 years, having countless opportunities to perform at both local and international events. MJ completed her post secondary training at the Conteur Academy in Toronto, Canada, where she graduated from in 2018. While at the Conteur Academy, she gained a new understanding of contemporary dance, choreography, and composition.

Since returning to Bermuda in 2018 MJ has completed a number of certification courses abroad in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), Barre (By Barreworks), and ADAPT Jazz Syllabus. MJ is thrilled to be teaching at In Motion, and strives to give her students the same passion for dance that her teachers gave her.
