Lizz has been involved in dance education, theatre, production and performance for over forty years and danced professionally from the age of thirteen with Greg Thompson’s Follies as their youngest dancer. Lizz has studied various dance techniques under renowned artists in England, New York, Miami, and worked with choreographers such as Demetrius Klein, David Parsons, and Freddrick Bratcher, in addition to attending the Alvin Ailey School as a scholarship student.
Lizz is the Founder and Director of the In Motion School of Dance and In Motion Dance Company, and has most recently expanded In Motion Limited to include the Somerset School of Dancing and Body In Motion. In addition to several students successfully pursuing dance and theatre careers she is most proud of creating safe and nurturing spaces where all persons can experience and enjoy the art of dance.
Lizz remains committed to providing local dancers with the best dance education and performance opportunities both locally and overseas and to inspire them to strive towards reaching their individual dance goals. She is proud to have brought innovation and inclusivity to Bermuda’s arts scene through various programs and experiences aimed at promoting and supporting local youth and arts.
In addition to numerous local performances and company shows over the years, Lizz has also had the great pleasure of performing for Gilbert & Sullivans “The Producers”, “Chicago”, “South Pacific” and “Pirates of Penzance”.
Lizz is an active board member of the Gilbert and Sullivan Society and is also a former board member with the Bermuda Ballet Association and National Dance Foundation of Bermuda. She has been a judge on Bermuda Idol for over five years and continues to support and develop dance both in Bermuda and overseas.
