MJ Doughty began her dance training at the In Motion School of Dance where she trained for eleven years and taught for four years. While at the In Motion School of Dance MJ performed with the the In Motion Dance Company for six years, having countless opportunities to perform at both local events in Bermuda of all kinds, as well as international events. MJ’s performance experience has seen her to  perform for such events as TedX Bermuda, a Bacardi shareholders event, the Luis Vuitton’s 35th America’s Cup qualifiers, and the Luis Vuitton’s 35th America’s Cup. After graduating, MJ moved to Toronto and began her post secondary training at Conteur Academy, where she graduated from in 2018. While at Conteur Academy she gained a new understanding of floorwork, partnering and Improv. At Conteur Academy MJ developed her own style as a contemporary dancer and as a choreographer indulging in sharp, powerful movements. MJ is excited to be back at In Motion as a teacher, and can’t wait to see her students grow further.
