Gemma Lightbourne, Bermudian-born Rhythmic Gymnast, and Dancer that through her years of training has studied multiple techniques and styles. She grew up completing many Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet and Imperial Society of Teachers in Dance (ISTD) Modern Exams under her belt. Gemma started to Dance at the age of 2 and Gymnastics at the age of 8 in Scotland, United Kingdom- where she was a Rhythmic National Team Member for several years. She was fortunate enough to compete and train nationally and internationally. When she moved back to Bermuda at the age of 14, she continued her passion for Dance and Gymnastics, most of her time being spent at the In Motion School of Dance as a Senior Company Member.

In 2014 Gemma achieved her goal of competing for Team Bermuda in the 2014 Commonwealth Games for Rhythmic Gymnastics. 

Gemma furthered her career in Dance by attending the University of Western Ontario, Canada by studying both Criminology and Dance. Being technically trained in Jazz, Character, Ballet, Modern, Tap, Musical Theatre, and Hip-Hop. Gemma was elected as Team Dance Captain in her final year where she choreographed and competed for her University. On her return to Bermuda Gemma has loved being back and working at In Motion School of Dance where she can share her experiences, training, and love for Dance.
